The ability and choice to promote others shows an inner strength; strength of mind, strength of heart, and strength of character. It originates from strength and transfers strength to the person receiving the gesture. Helping others to recognize their value and feel good about themselves and their efforts in life is amazing and wonderful. The rewards are boundless! A person who gives of themselves to promote the well-being of others is the strongest and most admirable example of person there is.
The choice to provoke others shows an extreme weakness and dysfunction; weakness and dysfunction of mind, weakness and dysfunction of heart, and weakness and dysfunction of character. It originates from weakness and dysfunction, transferring negative energy and distress to the person on the receiving end, along with everyone around them. Provocation is rooted in control, hatred, and discord. There is no place for divisive and mean-spirited provocation in healthy families, friendships, work places, or society as a whole. A provocateur displays their inadequacies when filled with elation for tearing another person down, and is the weakest example of a human being.
